Spartans Take Down Elmhurst on the Road

Elmhurst, IL - Manchester earned an impressive 68–59 road victory at Elmhurst, using dominant rebounding, balanced scoring, and a standout night from Abigail Rosenkrans to move to 4–1 on the season. The Spartans controlled the early stages with defensive pressure and second-chance opportunities, building a 33–24 halftime advantage behind strong interior play from Hannah Holmes and steady free-throw shooting from Kayla Gibbs.

Manchester continued to dictate the pace in the second half, maintaining a comfortable lead as Rosenkrans repeatedly broke down the defense and Holmes remained a force on the boards. Even when Elmhurst mounted a late push, the Spartans answered with timely baskets and key stops to keep the game out of reach.

Rosenkrans led all scorers with 25 points on an efficient 11-of-17 shooting, adding 8 rebounds and 4 steals in a dynamic all-around effort. Holmes delivered a crucial double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Gibbs and several players—including Maddi Smith, Kendal Rider, and Hailee Kline—contributed important rebounds and defensive energy.

The defining statistic of the night was Manchester's overwhelming 48–23 advantage on the glass, including 14 offensive rebounds that generated 16 second-chance points. Combined with 18 made free throws, that interior dominance allowed the Spartans to overcome turnover issues and control the game for nearly the full 40 minutes.

Overall, it was a complete team win—built on effort, toughness, and consistent execution on both ends—as Manchester continues to build early-season momentum.
