Anderson, Ind. - The Manchester University Men's Basketball team traveled to Anderson to take part in the first round of the HCAC Tournament.
Manchester came up just short in a hard fought battle, ending their season with a record of 10-16 over (5-14 HCAC)

The Spartans looked to continue their win streak while heading into Anderson and cause a major upset not only in HCAC, but in the national rankings. A back and forth first half saw the Spartans head into the locker rooms tied with the #1 seeded Ravens. The back and forth game continued until about eight minutes into the 2nd half when Anderson would start to take a commanding lead. The ravens would go onto to win by seven and advance to the Semi-finals.Â
Ty Lynas (Crawfordsville, Ind., Crawfordsville) led the Spartans in scoring with 19 as well as having one block and one steal.
Jeremiah Cottrell (Fort Wayne, Ind,, New Haven) posted a career high 10 points in 24 minutes of play, going 5-7 from the field, and
Zach Sawyer (Columbus, Ohio, Bishop Watterson) was an all around player finishing with 7 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal.Â
