North Manchester, Ind. - The Manchester University Women's Basketball team hosted the Mount St. Joseph Lions thispast Saturday.
The Spartans brought the game all the way to overtime but came up just short falling by one point.

A game that looked to be all in the hands of MSJ in the 3rd, turned out to be a thriller in the fourth after a steady back and forth between the two, First Year
Hannah Holmes (Largo, Ind,, Northfield) hit the game tying lay up with 7 seconds left and the Spartans defense made a stop as time expired to force overtime. In overtime, the Lions took the lead with 3:30 to go and did not surrender.
Kayla Gibbs (Fort Wayne, Ind,, Carroll) made the last basket of the game but the Spartans would fall short by one points.
Hailee Kline (Huntington, Ind., Blackhawk Christian) finished with 15 points and knocked down three 3 pointers,
Abigail Rosenkrans (Pendleton, Ind., Pendleton Heights)also had 15 points but added 13 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season, and
Hannah Holmes also had 15 points while grabbing 6 rebounds.
The Spartans next match up will be February 5 as they play host to HCAC rival, Anderson University.
