Berea, KY - The Manchester University Men's and Women's Track & Field teams competed this past weekend at the HCAC Championships hosted by Berea College.
Both teams finished in 2nd place in the conference with many Spartans coming home with hardware.
First Year
Chesnee Miller (Akron, Ind., Tippecanoe Valley) wrapped up her remarkable first season with the Spartans with the Female Newcomer of the Year award.
Senior
Carley Camp (Logansport, Ind., Logansport) earned her second consecutive Outdoor Women's Throws Athlete of the Year after getting gold in all three events she participated in, she also broke the HCAC Meet record in shot put with a throw of 13.94m and set a new Manchester record in discus with a throw of 44.27m.
Connor Havens (LaPorte, Ind., LaPorte) and
Gavin Byerly (Huntington, Ind., Huntington North) took home the hardware on the Men's side with being Co-Distance Runners of the Year after remarkable seasons from both.Â
