North Manchester, Ind. - The Manchester Spartans put together a complete performance Wednesday night, sweeping Olivet 3–0 (25–16, 26–24, 25–8) at Stauffer-Wolfe Arena. The win improves Manchester to 1–2 on the season.

Manchester controlled the opening set behind early kills from Kaitlyn Smith and Kyana Martinez, plus a pair of service aces from Morgan Howard and Tiffany Watterson. The Spartans' front line combined for five blocks in the set, including a key stuff by Lichtenbarger and Martinez that swung momentum and set up a 25–16 finish.

Set two was the tightest of the match, with six ties and three lead changes. Mariah Forbes delivered back-to-back service aces to give Manchester separation in the middle of the set, but Olivet fought back to tie it at 24–24. Manchester responded with kills from Maddi Smith and Lily Lichtenbarger to seal a 26–24 win and take a commanding 2–0 match lead.

The Spartans dominated the third set from start to finish, jumping out to a quick lead with consecutive kills from Avery Ball and Martinez. Maddi Smith's serving run, including three aces, pushed the score out of reach as Manchester closed the match on a 6–1 run to win 25–8.

For the night, Manchester tallied 30 kills with a .159 hitting percentage, 10 service aces, and six total blocks. Ball led the attack with eight kills, while Watterson anchored the defense with 12 digs. Forbes and Morgan Howard combined for 23 assists to keep the offense balanced.

Manchester takes the court this Friday as they will face Franklin in a non-conference match to kick of the Quaker Classic in Wilmington, Ohio. 8:00 PM start.
