Cedar Rapids, IA - Manchester's Mason Jones delivered a historic performance this past weekend at the 2026 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships, earning All-American honors with a fourth-place finish at 125 pounds.
Jones opened the national tournament in strong fashion, securing a 6-4 decision victory in the first round. The Manchester sophomore continued his momentum in the quarterfinals, earning another decision win, this time by an 8-2 margin, to punch his ticket to the national semifinals.
In the semifinal bout, Jones battled tough but fell by decision, sending him into the consolation bracket. He quickly responded in dominant fashion during the consolation semifinals, pinning his opponent at the 3:31 mark to advance to the third-place match.
Jones wrapped up the championship with a fourth-place finish after a hard-fought decision in the third-place bout, capping off an impressive run against the nation's top wrestlers in the 125-pound bracket.
With his performance, Jones earned All-American honors, becoming the first Manchester men's wrestler to achieve the distinction since 2007. His fourth-place finish also highlighted an outstanding season that saw him finish the year with a 28-5 overall record while representing Manchester on the national stage.
