Coaching Bio Header - Biography 2

Seth Clark completed his third season as an assistant coach at Manchester in 2022-23. Additionally, Clark serves as a faculty member in the Exercise Science department on campus.

During his third year on the Spartan bench, Clark helped lead Manchester to a 16-9 regular season record, a 14-4 mark in league play and a share of the conference regular season title for the first time since 2020-11. Sophomore guard/forward Logan Willougby earned All-Conference First Team accolades, while teammates Bryant Smith (Second Team), Zach Sawyer (Second Team), Quentez Columbus (Hon. Mention) also earned All-HCAC recognition. Junior guard Ty Lynas was named to the HCAC All-Tournament team, earned Academic All-HCAC honors, and was also named to the Christopher M. Ragsdale All-Sportsmanship Team. 

During his second year with the program, Manchester earned seven Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference victories, which included home wins over Transylvania and Rose-Hulman, as well as road wins against Anderson University and 2022 NCAA Division III Tournament participant Franklin College. Under Conley's guidance, the Spartans defeated Transylvania for the first time since 2017 and their win at Anderson was the program's first road win against the Ravens since 2009. Sophomore forward Brandon Christlieb earned Second Team All-HCAC honors after leading the team in scoring at 18.0 ppg. Christlieb also earned HCAC Athlete of the Week recognition on 1/10/2022. First-year sharpshooter Bryant Smith was named the to Christopher M. Ragsdale HCAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

In his first season the the Spartan bench, Clark helped guide the Spartans to an appearance in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals. In a season shortened by the Covid-19 Pandemic, Manchester was able to play 14 games. Additional, a pair of Manchester seniors in Cortiz Buckner and CJ Hampton earn Honorable Mention All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors in 2021. Freshman forward Brandon Christlieb was named to the HCAC All-Tournament Team. Freshman guard Jackson Jannsen was named to the Christopher M. Ragsdale HCAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

Prior to arriving at Manchester, Clark served as the assistant men's basketball coach and strength and conditioning coordinator at Wabash College located in Crawfordsville, Ind. During his lone season with the Little Giants last year, Clark assisted with a Wabash program that began the 2019-20 season ranked in the D3Hoops.com Top 25 poll. Wabash posted an overall record of 17-9 and placed second in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) after compiling a 13-5 mark in league play. While on Wabash's staff, two players earned  All-NCAC honors. Junior guard Jack Davidson also earned NABC and D3Hoops.com All-Region honors and was a CoSIDA Academic All-American. Five Little Giants were named to the NABC Honors Court.

Clark's duties at Wabash included assisting with team practices, individual skill development, developing travel itineraries and team meals, as well as overseeing strength and conditioning instruction.

Prior to his stint at Wabash, Clark spent one season as the men's basketball graduate assistant coach at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio.

No stranger to head coach Nate Conley, Clark was a standout guard for Coach Conley at Ohio Wesleyan University. Clark was a four-year starter for the Battling Bishops, earning First Team All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors in 2015-16 and 2017-18. He added Second Team All-NCAC honors in the 2016-17 season. Clark holds the all-time record for three-point baskets in OWU history with 287.  A two-time team captain for the Battling Bishops, Clark is seventh in OWU history with 1,699 career points and helped win NCAC regular season championships for OWU in 2015 and 2016.

Seth graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2018 where he earned a bachelor's degree in human health and kinetics. He earned a master's degree of allied health with a specialty in healthcare administration from Otterbein University in 2020.
