Skylar Barnett joined the Manchester softball program as Assistant Coach in August 2023.
Before arriving in North Manchester, Barnett spent two seasons as assistant softball coach at North Newton High School located in Marocco, Ind. where she primarily worked with outfielders and hitters. During her time with the Spartans, Barnett aided in a 18-4 record and coached the first time in school history to win the conference title, sectional title, and a regional title. Barnett also taught Chemistry and Physics at North Newton and assisted the volleyball team.
From 2021-2023, Barnett also worked with the NWI Storm Elite-Ferguson Travel softball team as assistant coach.
Barnett earner her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from DePauw University in 2021, where she was also a member of the NCAA Division III Softball College World Series third place team. She also earned her master’s degree in Sports Management and is currently pursuing another master’s degree in Sport Coaching from West Virginia University.
