Christine Johnson

Christine Johnson is in her fifth season as the head coach of the women's soccer program at Manchester in 2020-21.

During her time with the Spartans, Johnson has mentored three of All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference players.  Three more Spartans have earned honorable mention all-league honors.  19 individuals have been named Academic All-Conference, including seven players in 2019.

Johnson previously was an assistant coach at Fresno State University from 2005-2009 and held interim head coaching duties during the 2009 campaign.  Johnson also served as an assistant coach at Arizona State University from August 2009 to July 2010. She led the Crown City United Soccer Club in San Marino, California for four seasons from July 2012 to November 2015.

During her college career at the University of Florida, Johnson was a four-year starter for the Gators. Johhnson helped the Gators to a Southeastern Conference regular season title and a NCAA Division I Final Four berth in 2001. The Gators would also win a pair of SEC Tournament titles during her playing career (2001 & 2004). At the conlcusion of her freshman season in 2001, Johnson was named to the SoccerBuzz.com Freshman All-America Third Team.

Coach Johnson also played professionally for the California Storm and Football Club Bay Area Pride in 2009.

Johnson graduated from Florida in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in sociology.

Christine and her husband Kevin, who serves as the Spartans' wrestling coach, have three children, Jayla, Amara and Oakley.
