Coaching Bio Header - Biography 2

Tyler Ferguson completed his fourth year as an assistant coach with the Manchester volleyball program in 2022.

In his four seasons on the bench, the Manchester volleyball program has produced two First Team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference selections, three Second Team All-HCAC honorees, six Honorable Mention All-HCAC performers, and 16 Academic All-HCAC honorees.

Coach Ferguson helped lead a 10-win improvement in 2021. A much-improved Manchester squad qualified for its first Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament berth since 2016. Manchester finished 6th in the HCAC Standings and the program produced five All-HCAC players. Senior Samantha Campbell earned First Team All-HCAC honors. Campbell ended her Manchester career ranked in the program's top 10 in solo blocks (54 - 9th), assisted blocks (132 - 6th) and total blocks (186 - 8th). Additionally, Halle Planck, Helaina Walters, and Erika Kramer all earned Honorable Mention All-HCAC recognition. Carley Camp was named to the HCAC All-Freshman Team.

In 2020-21, both Halle Planck and Samantha Campbell took home Honorable Mention All-HCAC honors. In 2019, Planck was named First Team All-HCAC. She also earned a spot on the HCAC All-Freshman Team, while senior libero Ann Marie Lawrie was tabbed as Honorable Mention All-HCAC. 

Ferguson has been involved with the Empowered Sports Club in Fort Wayne, serving as the beach volleyball director.  Coach Ferguson is Beach Cap 1 certified.  Ferguson also spent time as the head volleyball coach at East Noble High School in Kendallville, Indiana. He resides in Fort Wayne.
