Coach Kendra Marlowe's team upended Grove City College of Pennsylvania in five games and swept past Wilmington College of Ohio for its two victories. The host Bishops and Denison University took three-game wins each from MU.

Pruden finished the four-match weekend with 41 kills and a .164 attack percentage. She came up big for the Black and Gold in both wins with 14 kills against the Wolverines of Grove City and a sparkling .214 attack percentage against Wilmington. Munn finished the weekend with 102 assists, which led the team, and 26 digs which was fifth-best. Kennedy ended with a team-best 48 digs and served up three aces which was second behind freshman middle hitter Morgan Pavelka (Noblesville, Ind.) who had five.

Manchester opens its home season Wednesday, Sept. 5, when Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Earlham visits Wolfe-Stauffer Arena for a 6 p.m. non-conference clash. Marlowe's crew returns to its weekend tournament schedule Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7-8 at the Aurora University of Illinois Invitational.
