RICHMOND, IND. - The underclassman duo of sophomore Kyle Lahman (North Manchester, Ind.) and freshman Matt Buncich (Goshen, Ind.) spotlighted Manchester University's non-conference dual at Indiana University-East Thursday, April 4.

The pair each improved their singles records despite the Spartans' 7-2 loss to the Red Wolves. Lahman, moving to 3-3, polished off IU East's Josh Hollingsworth 6-1,6-2, while Buncich fought off a second set tie-break and a third set to seal the victory over Justin Judd 4-6, 7-6(2), 10-8 for his second victory. All three doubles teams battled back, but their comebacks were stopped short in light of a young IU-East squad.

MU (1-6) turns around to resume Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action with a 10 a.m. dual at Transylvania University Saturday, April 6. The Black and Gold concludes its three-dual weekly schedule with a home league match-up against Franklin Sunday, April 7, at 4 p.m.
