NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Singles wins from the freshman combination of Isaac Collis (Alexandria, Ind.) and Garrett Bear (Indianapolis, Ind.), coupled with a doubles victory from the senior duo of Phil Truitt (Huntington, Ind.) and Alex Winger (Warsaw, Ind.), highlighted Manchester University's home season finale Tuesday, April 28.

Collis and Bear each reeled off straight-set victories at numbers five and six, while Truitt and Winger helped celebrate Senior Day 2015 with an 8-2 decision at number three doubles. MU nearly overturned a hard-fought 6-3 loss to Earlham College at their outdoor courts, too, as both freshman Spencer Thomas (Yorktown, Ind.) and senior Kyle Lahman (North Manchester, Ind.) pushed their opponents to a deciding third set, while Lahman and sophomore Stratton Smith (New Palestine, Ind.) took five games at number one doubles.

The Spartans (4-9 overall, 3-5 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference) open 2015 conference postseason tournament action Friday, May 1, at West Indy Racquet Club in Indianapolis, Ind.
