FRANKLIN, IND. – Victories at number one doubles and singles highlighted Manchester University's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference clash at Franklin College Saturday, April 4.

The Spartans, dipping to 0-6 overall and 0-2 in the league, received a straight-set win from senior Kyle Lahman (North Manchester, Ind.), while Lahman and sophomore Stratton Smith (New Palestine, Ind.) went into a tiebreaker to knock off the Grizzlies' top doubles tandem of Alex and Ryan Hammer 9-8 (7-2). Smith and freshman Spencer Thomas (Yorktown, Ind.) nearly closed the gap even further, each falling in three-set finishes as part of a 7-2 FC decision.

MU returns to action Saturday, April 11, with an HCAC dual at Hanover College. First serve is 10 a.m.
