ANGOLA, IND. – Manchester University recorded bonus-point wins in six of the first seven matches Tuesday, Feb. 7, in route to their fifth dual win of the season.
MU, bringing the curtain down on its dual campaign at 5-12, led 34-4 through 174 pounds. Senior 125-pounder Alan Mock (Denver, Ind.) and sophomore 133-pounder Ben Cauffman (Fort Wayne, Ind.) picked up forfeit victories; junior 141-pounder Chase Wilson (Peru, Ind.) registered his 29th win of the season with this one coming by fall; and freshman 157-pounder Jordan Napier (Indianapolis, Ind.), junior 165-pounder Tristan Wilson (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and junior 174-pounder Alex Arney (Fort Wayne, Ind.) locked up the dual win for MU behind a major decision, pin and injury default win.
Trine concluded the evening at Hershey Hall with a pair of pins and decision for a 34-19 final. Coach Kevin Lake's team wraps up the 2016-17 regular season Saturday, Feb. 11, competing at the MidStates Conference Championships hosted by Olivet College of Michigan. Action begins at 8 a.m. inside OC's Cutler Center.
