NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – The doubles tandem of sophomore Connor Eichenauer (North Manchester, Ind.) and junior Garrett Bear (Indianapolis, Ind.) highlighted the efforts of Manchester University in its home opener Saturday, April 8.

Eichenauer and Bauer battled for five game wins against Earlham College's No. 2 team of F. Bulnes Aramburu and Adarsh Singh before falling 8-5 at the campus' outdoor courts. The Quakers' pair held them off 8-5 as part of sweeping the doubles' and singles' matches as part of a 9-0 victory.

The Spartans (1-3 overall, 1-1 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference) resume league action Wednesday, April 12, at Defiance College. First serve against the Yellow Jackets is 4:30 p.m. at DC's Dix Tennis Facility.
