Box Score

RICHMOND, Ind. – The Manchester Spartans saw their three-game Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference win streak snapped by a red-hot Earlham squad on Saturday January 11.

The Quakers outscored MU 41-20 in the second half and shot a blistering 11-of-22 from 3-point territory en route to a 75-48 win.

Earlham shot 47.6 percent (30-63) for the game on Saturday afternoon and forced 24 Spartan turnovers. The Quakers converted those 24 turnovers into 22 points and held a 34-25 advantage on the glass. EC also assisted on 26 of its 30 made field goals.

The Spartans stayed close with the hot-shooting Quakers for much of the first half and trailed by just six points, 34-28, at the intermission. As MU's offense slowed following the break, the Quakers continued to knock down perimeter shots to distance themselves from the visiting Spartans.

Manchester finished 17-of-42 (40.5 percent) from the floor on Saturday and made 10-of-12 (83 percent) of its free throw attempts.

Macy Miller (Huntertown, Ind./Carroll) led Manchester with a career-high 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Miller also grabbed a team-best seven rebounds. Freshman Hannah Lindsey (Speedway, Ind./Speedway) scored in double figures for the fifth time this season, finishing with 11 points.

Manchester fell to 6-7, 3-3 HCAC on the year. Earlham College won for the second time this week and improved to 4-9, 3-3 HCAC.
