Box Score BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Manchester University women's basketball team wrapped up its short, two-game road swing at Bluffton University on Saturday, Nov. 14.
Meeting for the second time in three days in the Buckeye State, the host Beavers protected home court, defeating the Manchester Spartans 54-46 in the Sommer Center.
Bluffton's pressure forced Manchester into 17 turnovers on Saturday. The Beavers were able to convert those 17 turnovers into 21 points.
Bluffton's defense also limited Manchester to 24.2% (15-62) shooting from the field. Manchester also struggled from three-point territory, shooting 2-18 (11.1%) on Saturday.
The Beavers shot 21-63 (33.3%) from the field and went 3-17 (17.6%) from beyond the three-point arc.
Bridget Nash (Carmel, Ind./Bishop Chatard) led Manchester University with 16 points. Nash added five rebounds and two assists. Hannah Lindsey (Speedway, Ind./Speedway) contributed 10 points and eight boards, while Tiara Jackson (East Chicago, Ind./Central) grabbed eight rebounds and scored six points. Madison Stamm (Fortville, Ind./Anderson Prep) scored eight points on Saturday.
Bluffton was led by Sydney Cavanaugh's 14 bench points. Taylor Malson scored 12 points for Bluffton.
Manchester fell to 0-3 on the young season. Bluffton improved to 2-0.
