FRANKLIN, Ind. – Visiting Manchester University was unable to keep pace with the Franklin College Grizzlies on Saturday afternoon in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball action. FC ran away with Saturday's contest, winning by a final count of 82-40.

Franklin turned 24 Manchester turnovers into 24 points and shot 34-72 (47.2 percent) from the field in Saturday's game. The Griz scored 24 points in transition and outscored the Black & Gold 46-10 in the paint.

Manchester was held to 14-55 (25.5 percent) shooting for the game and went just 4-25 from 3-point territory.

The Spartans dropped their fifth straight ballgame and slid to 8-13, 5-9 HCAC on the year. Franklin ended its three-game losing streak and improved to 12-8, 8-6 HCAC.

Manchester will travel to Bluffton University on Wednesday February 8 for a 7:30 p.m. game against the Beavers.
