MEQUON, Wis. – The Manchester University wrestling team was back in action on Saturday at the Concordia (Wis.) Open. 19 other schools were represented at Saturday's open and the Black & Gold competed against some of the top NCAA Division III programs from around the Midwest.
At 125-lbs, first-year
Justin Brantley (Kokomo, Ind./Western) picked up a major decision victory of Wabash's Reece Chapman 9-0 in his opening bout.
Fifth-year senior
Josh Stephenson (Yorktown, Ind./Yorktown) collected a couple of fall victories on Saturday at 133-lbs, pinning both Joe Fornaro of Elmhurst and Coleman Burgess of Lakeland.
Manchester will be back in action the week following the Thanksgiving holiday. MU will travel to Crawfordsville and Wabash College for the Little State Invitational on Saturday December 4.
