CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - The Manchester University wrestling team was in action on Saturday afternoon at the highly competitive Little State Invitational hosted by Wabash College.

Results

The Spartans continued to gain experience on the season after the trip to Wabash. Fifth-year senior Josh Stephenson (Yorktown, Ind./Yorktown) won by fall in his opening bout of the afternoon against Thomas More's Bryce Zumwalt.

First-year Gabe Phillips (Centerville, Ind./Centerville) picked up a win on Saturday in the 157-lb weight class. Phillips earned a pin over Wabash's Phenix Carney.

At 184-lbs, junior Alexander Searfoss (Granger, Ind./Penn) picked up a tech fall victory over West Liberty's Marshall Whipkey (16-1). Fellow junior Victor Lee (Marion, Ind./Marion) rounded Saturday's efforts with a pin in his opening bout over Cornerstone's Marion Karkonen.

Manchester earned 11 team points.

The Spartans will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Naperville, Ill. for the North Central Invitational.
