FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Manchester University women's soccer team dropped a narrow 1-0 decision on the road at Franklin College to begin Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Wednesday September 29.
Franklin's Lilly Haines scored the lone goal of the match in the 57
th minute. It was her first goal of the 2021 season.
The host Grizzlies held a slim 8-5 advantage in shots taken Wednesday's match. FC also held a narrow 4-2 advantage in corner kicks taken.
Jayden Murray (Delphi, Ind./Rossville Consolidated),
Alex Parr (Russiaville, Ind./Western), and
McKenna Burkholder (Argos, Ind./Argos)
all placed a shot on goal for Manchester.
The Spartans will travel to Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday October 2 for a 1 p.m. meeting with the Lions.
