NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Black and Gold defeated rival Anderson University in Spartan Stadium on Wednesday, October 19. The Spartans edged out the Ravens with a score of 1-0. 

Junior Cory Mitchell (Maitland, Fla., Winter Park) scored the lone goal of the night, assisted by Ruben Gonzalez (Sylvania, Ohio, Sylvania Northview) in the 89th minute of play. Both Gonzalez and Mitchell also added two shots on goal for MU, with First Year Aaron Ketchmark (Kouts, Ind., Kouts) adding four saves in goal for the Spartans. Manchester is now 4-6-5, 3-1-3 HCAC.  

Anderson was led by Usman Kamara Dalton Grubbs, and Jordan Bossman all with two shots on the night. Danny Moro-Medina also had four saves in goal for the Ravens. Anderson now falls to 5-8-2, 2-5 HCAC. 

Manchester's men's soccer team will honor their seniors on Saturday, October 22. The seniors will be honored following Saturday's Homecoming game against Earlham. The Spartans will host the Quakers at Good Field at 3:30 p.m.
