NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Manchester University women's soccer team honored its four seniors prior to Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest against Earlham College. The Spartans recognized Jayden Murray (Delphi, Ind., Rossville) Bridget Nash (Carmel, Ind., Bishop Chatard), Kylie Castator (Garrett, Ind., Garrett), and Yilian Rodriguez (Logansport, Ind., Logansport) with an on-field ceremony at Good Field.  

The Spartans were edged out by the visiting Earlham Quakers by a score of 1-0. Eva Lyon broke the scoreless tie in the 41st minute with an unassisted goal for the Quakers. Lyon and Mallory Smith led Earlham with four shots each on the day. Earlham improves to 5-7-2, 3-5 HCAC. The Quakers will conclude their regular season at Anderson University on Wednesday. 

Peyton Horn (Crown Point, Ind., Andrean) and Morgan Mauk (Toledo, Ohio, E.L. Bowsher) both had a shot on goal for MU. Seven players for the Spartans in shots on the day, with Nash adding five saves in goal.  

Manchester will host the Bluffton Beavers at Good Field on Wednesday, October 26 to end regular season play. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
