Women's Indoor Track & Field Picked to Win HCAC in Preseason Poll

CARMEL, Ind. - The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) announced the results of the 2022-23 women's indoor track & field preseason poll on Tuesday, November 15th. The Spartans took first in the women's polls in a vote among league coaches. 

2022-23 HCAC Preseason Poll & Athletes to Watch 

Manchester University picked up 4 first-place votes, earning 76 points in the poll.

Rose-Hulman was picked to finish second with 4 first-place votes and 73 points, while Hanover is slated to finish third with 2 first-place votes and 68 total points. Franklin College (51) and Anderson University (46) rounded out the top half of the preseason poll on Tuesday.

6 Spartans were picked as "Athletes to Watch" this season, including throwers 
Carley Camp (Logansport, Ind., Logansport) and Dakota Goetz (Lowell, Ind., Lowell). Brooke Bouwens (Clarksville, Mich., Lakewood), Hannah Brubaker (Goshen, Ind., NorthWood), Adelle Stanko (Okemos, Mich., Okemos), and Delaney Moore (Indianapolis, Ind. , North Central High School) were also picked as "Athletes to Watch" this season. 
 
The indoor track and field season will begin on Friday January 13th at the Friday Night Spikes Opener at Rose-Hulman. Meet time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
