McLaughlin's Goal Lifts Spartans to First Win of Season

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Spartans picked up their first win of the 2022 campaign against the Eagles. 

Sophomore Abby McLaughlin (Carmel, Ind., Carmel) finished a through ball sent through by 5th year Jayden Murray (Delphi, Ind., Rossville) to lift the Spartans above the Eagles in the 49th minute. The Black & Gold's defense held strong to keep the lead until the final whistle. The Manchester defense earned the clean sheet behind a 3 save day from goalkeeper Brie Spagnolo (Bradenton, Fla., Manatee).

The Spartans will be back in action Wednesday at Good Field to take on Calvin. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
