AURORA, Ill. - Women's soccer took a Sunday road trip over to Illinois for a battle with Aurora University. The battle of the Spartans fell in favor of the Aurora Spartans by a match score of 0-2.
Aurora had a busy weekend as they entered Sunday's match after a 0-2 win over Lakewood the day before. Manchester entered the match with their most recent game being a 0-2 loss to St. Francis (Ind.) on Wednesday. Aurora pulled their momentum from the previous day win into Sunday. Aurora scored one goal per half against the Black & Gold, scoring in the 20
th minute and the 66
th minute.

Abby McLaughlin (Carmel, Ind., Carmel) fired 2 shots on goal of 4 total shots on the afternoon for the Spartans.
Brie Spagnolo (Bradenton, Fla., Manatee) bested her career high save mark in the match. She and the Manchester defense kept the game within reach as
Spagnolo racked up 13 saves.
Your Spartans will look to bounce back this Wednesday as they open HCAC play and host Defiance College. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. from Good Field.Â
