Women's Tennis Falls to Trine

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Manchester women's tennis team fell 3-6 to visiting Trine University yesterday at the MU Tennis Courts.
 
The pair of Eva Bazzoni (Wabash, Ind., Manchester) and Evelyn Minton (Clarksville, Ind., Jeffersonville) claimed an 8-4 victory at 1 doubles. Anna Hollingsworth (New Castle, Ind., Blue River Valley) and Ella Knight (Leesburg, Ind., Kalamazoo) dropped a tight 6-8 contest at 3 doubles. In singles, Bazzoni and Knight picked up victories for the Spartans at 1 and 2 singles respectively. Bazzoni fought back to win 6-7 (6), 6-2, 13-11, and Knight won 6-3, 6-1. 

The Spartans will hit the court again Saturday, September 10th at the MU Tennis Courts.  Manchester will be competing against Hanover and Adrian at 10 am and 2 pm.
