Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Travels to Huntington

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Manchester Women's Soccer team traveled to Huntington University last night to compete against the Forester's.

The game started quick for the Spartans as the Foresters came up with a goal within the 7th minute by Huntington's Paige Weiss. Brie Spagnolo (Bradenton, Fla., Manatee) displayed tight defense at the goal for Manchester. Spagnolo had nine saves on the evening, three of these saves came in the first half, while the other six followed in the second.  

Huntington scored another goal in the 18th minute, followed by a goal in the 72nd minute. Manchester's two shots of the game came from Jayden Murray (Delphi, Ind., Rossville) and Layla Huneck (Fort Wayne, Ind., Snider).  

Mary Cotter led the Foresters with two of the three goals.

The Black & Gold will be back in action at Good Field on Saturday, September 10th, as they take on the Asbury Eagles. Kickoff is set for 4 pm.
