ANDERSON, Ind. - The Manchester swimming and diving teams opened the 2023-24 season at the Anderson Tri-Meet on Friday, October 14. 

The men's team lost to Anderson University 126-103 and won against the University of Olivet 128-98. 

First-year Jaden Chin Hong (Trinidad and Tobago, Logansport) and Colten Schulte (Huntington, Ind., Huntington North) led Manchester, picked up wins in the 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard backstroke. Chin Hong finished the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:03.95. Schulte took first in the 100-yard backstroke, touching the wall in a time of 58.85.

Up next, the Spartans will travel to Crawfordsville, Ind. to compete in the Indiana Division III meet hosted by Wabash College. Diving events start at 9:30 a.m. Swimming events will begin at 1:00 p.m.
