RICHMOND, Ind. - The Manchester women's soccer team traveled to Richmond, Ind. to take on the Quakers of
Earlham College in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (
HCAC) action on Saturday, October 14. The Quakers took Saturday's match by a final score of 4-0.
After a scoreless first half, Isabel Slone would net her first goal of the afternoon to give the Quakers a 1-0 lead in the 50th minute of action. Slone would score again in the 76th minute to put
Earlham up 3-0. Two other Quakers scored during Saturday's matchup en route to the 4-0 victory.
Elaina Halferty (Columbia City, Ind., Eagle Tech Academy) and
Ruth Windeler (Grand Blanc, Mich., Goodrich) each landed a shot on goal for the Black and Gold.
Madilyn VanDerWeele (Tippecanoe, Ind., Argos) led the Spartan goalkeepers with five saves on Saturday.
Up next, the Spartans (1-12, 1-5
HCAC) will host the rival Ravens of Anderson University at Good Field on Wednesday, October 18 at 4:30 p.m.
