NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Manchester volleyball team earned its third straight win after defeating the Bluffton University Beavers with a final score of 3-1 on Wednesday, October 25.
The Spartans took Wednesday night's match by set scores of 25-16, 19-25, 25-14, 25-19. Manchester improves to 15-7,5-1 HCAC and currently sits third in the conference standings.
Manchester had three players reach double figures in kills in the match.
Joy Maze (Greenwood, Ind., Greenwood Community) led the way with 15 kills followed by
Carley Camp (Logansport, Ind., Logansport) with 13 and
Avery Ball (Decatur, Ind., Belmont) with 12.
Emma Tone (Fort Wayne, Ind., Bishop Dwenger) recorded 26 assists, while
Alexa Kouskousakis (Rochester, Ind., Rochester Community) collected 21 assists for the Black and Gold.
Defensively,
Joy Maze led with 17 digs. First-year
Tiffany Watterson (Elkhart, Ind., Elkhart)) had 14 digs on the night.
Carley Camp and
Jessica Tarr (Fort Wayne, Ind., Snider) had four block assists apiece, while
Lily Lichtenbarger (South Bend, Ind., New Prairie) added three blocks.
Manchester University will continue conference play, hosting the Mount St. Joseph Lions during Senior Night in Stauffer-Wolfe Arena on Saturday, October 28. Match time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
