NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Manchester Spartans defeated the Belles of Saint Mary's College in a non-conference matchup in Stauffer-Wolfe Arena on Wednesday, October 4.
The Black and Gold topped the Belles in four sets, taking Wednesday night's match by set scores of 24-26, 25-19, 25-19, and 25-16.
The Spartans swung well on Wednesday night, hitting .312 with 55 kills as a team. Saint Mary's hit just .145 with 46 kills.
Joy Maze (Greenwood, Ind., Greenwood Community) and
Avery Ball (Decatur, Ind., Belmont) led the Manchester offense with 14 kills apiece.
Maze also added 3 service aces and 3 block assists.
Carley Camp (Logansport, Ind., Logansport) chipped in 11 kills on the strength of a .476 hitting percentage. Camp also added four block assists on the night.
Lily Lichtenbarger (South Bend, Ind., New Prairie) hit .636 on Wednesday and contributed 7 kills in the win. She also had one solo block and three block assists.

Alexa Kouskousakis (Rochester, Ind., Rochester Community) collected 23 assists during Wednesday's win. Fellow first-year
Tiffany Watterson (Elkhart, Ind., Elkhart) had a team-high 11 digs for the Black and Gold.

HCAC with Wednesday night's win. Saint Mary's fell to 4-8 overall.
The Spartans will host Defiance College for Manchester's second conference match of the season on Saturday, October 7. Match time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
