HANOVER, Ind. - The Manchester Spartans earned a 1-0 shutout victory against the Hanover College Panthers on Saturday, October 7 to remain undefeated on the season.
Harley Kruschwitz (North Manchester, Ind., Manchester) broke through in the 53rd minute to score the lone goal of the match, collecting his 15th goal of the season.
Kole Williams (Lafayette, Ind., McCutcheon) picked up an assist on
Kruschwitz's goal.
Kruschwitz led the Manchester offense with four shots on goal.
Cory Mitchell (Maitland, Fla., Winter Park) added another two shots on the goal for the Spartans.
Defensively,
Aaron Ketchmark (Kouts, Ind., Kouts) recorded another clean sheet with five saves in goal for the Black and Gold.
The Panthers fall to 5-7-0, 2-2-0 in
HCAC with Saturday afternoon's loss and will face Franklin College on October 11 next.
Manchester improved 7-0-5 overall, 3-0-1 in
HCAC play. The Spartans look to continue their success on Wednesday, October 11 when they host the
Fightin Engineers of Rose
