ANDERSON, Ind. - The Manchester volleyball team rolled to a four set victory at rival Anderson University on Wednesday, November 1.
The Spartans defeated the Ravens by set scores of 25-15, 25-21, 22-25, and 25-23.
As a team, Manchester posted a .246 hitting percentage while Anderson finished with a .167 hitting percentage. The Spartans had 12 aces and eight blocks during Wednesday's match.
Avery Ball (Decatur, Ind., Belmont) led the Spartans with 15 kills followed by
Jessica Tarr (Fort Wayne, Ind., Snider) with 11 kills.
Joy Maze (Greenwood, Ind., Greenwood Community) added 10 kills and four blocks for the Spartans.
Falyn McPeek (Rock City, Ill., Dakota) had a team high and career high six aces against the Ravens.
Emma Tone (Fort Wayne, Ind., Bishop Dwenger) led with 19 assists and
Alexa Kouskousakis (Rochester, Ind., Rochester Community) had 15 of her own.
Ball also had 2 aces and 9 digs.
Defensively, the Spartans were led by libero
Tiffany Watterson (Elkhart, Ind., Elkhart) with 21 digs. At the net,
Lily Lichtenbarger (South Bend, Ind., New Prairie) had a team high six blocks during Wednesday night's contest.
Manchester will conclude the regular season on Saturday, November 4 with a road trip to nationally ranked Transylvania University. Match time is set for 2:00 p.m.
