FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Manchester University men's and women's swimming & diving teams both battle Franklin College and Bluffton University the Franklin Tri-Meet on Saturday, November 4.
On the women's side, the Spartans defeated Bluffton by a final score of 131-43 and fell to Franklin 238-40.
The men also picked up a win against Bluffton, defeating the Beavers by a score of 211-18. The Grizzlies topped the Spartans 208-80.

Highlights from the day included:
- Taelynn Benish (Logansport, Ind., Logansport) took third in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 3:03.43, good enough for a new Manchester top-10 mark.
- Eamin Lynch (South Bend, Ind., John Adams) took second in the 100 yard backstroke, touching the wall in a time of 1:05.96.
- Jaden Chin Hong (Trinidad and Tobago, Logansport) took first place in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.54. Chin Hung swam to second place in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:23.57. He also took third in the 50 yard freestyle, finishing the event in a time of 23.46.
- Conner Shannon (Logansport, Ind., Logansport) finished the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:35.27 for second place.
- The men's 400 yard medley team consisting of Colten Schulte, Jaden Chin Hong, Michael DeBartolo, and Hung Tran set a new Manchester top-10 mark, finishing the event in second place with a time of 3:49.31.
- Payton Elsrod (Centerville, Ind., Centerville) swam to third place in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.06.
- Colten Schulte (Huntington, Ind., Huntington North) took second in the 200 yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 2:09.29. He also finished the 100 yard backstroke in third place with a time of 57.27.
- Michael DeBartolo (Elkhart, Ind., Concord) swam to third place in the 500 yard freestyle (5:26.27) and the 200 yard IM (2:14.14).
The Manchester swimming teams will be back in the pool on Saturday, November 8 as they compete against Wilmington College in a dual meet hosted by the Quakers at 1:00 p.m.
