Allendale, Mich. - Three Spartans competed in the GVSU Big Meet hosted by Grand Valley State University on Friday, February 10. 

Senior Hannah Brubaker (Goshen, Ind., NorthWood) finished the 5,000 meter run with a time of 18:40.84. Brubaker's time was good enough to set a new personal best and all-time top-10 mark. 

Fellow senior Enrique Salazar (Plymouth, Ind., Plymouth) finished the men's 5,000 meter run in a time of 14:35.15, less than second off the Manchester school record held by Salazar. 

Connor Havens (LaPorte, Ind., LaPorte) also competed in the men's 5,000 meter run, finishing in a time of 15:40.42. 

The Spartans have one more week left before the 2023 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Indoor Championships. This year's conference championships will take place on February 25 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
