TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Manchester University's men's swimming and diving teams wrapped up the 2023 season, finishing in fifth place at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday, February 11.

The Black and Gold capped an outstanding season of continued growth under coaches
Roger Karns and
Mitch Schall. The men's team finished with 272 team points, the most points scored at a conference meet in school history.
During the final day of competition at the HCAC Championships,
Colten Schulte (Huntington, Ind., Huntington North) broke the Manchester school record in the 200-yard backstroke, touching the wall in a time of 2:00.22, breaking the previous school record by two seconds.
Logan Davis (Elkhart, Ind., Elkhart) swam his way to a new Manchester school record in the 1650-yard freestyle, finishing the race in tenth place in a time of 17:54.10. Davis also broke the school's record in the 1,00-yard freestyle with a time of 10:50.27.
Michael DeBartolo (Elkhart, Ind., Concord) also broke a Manchester school record in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing the race in sixth place in a time of 2:01.47.
The men's team broke 17 records during the 2023 HCAC Swimming and Diving Championships, breaking 30 total school records this season.
