FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Manchester women's tennis team faced off against the Cougars of the University of St. Francis on Tuesday, April 4 at the Wildwood Racquet Club in Fort Wayne. The Spartans fell by a final score of 7-2.

The no. 1 doubles pair of
Eva Bazzoni (Wabash, Ind., Manchester)Â and
Evelyn Minton (Clarksville, Ind., Jeffersonville)Â took their match to a tiebreaker but ultimately fell by a score of 8-7 (6). At no. 2 doubles,
Natalie Kotlin (Lowell, Ind., Lowell) and
Avin Demaso (South Bend, Ind., Riley) were defeated 8-4. The no. 3 position for the Spartans won by default.
Bazzoni split sets with her opponent before falling in a third set tiebreak.
Minton fell at no. 2 singles by a score of 6-1, 6-4.
Kotlin lost by the same score at the no. 3 spot. At the no. 4 position,
Demaso fell to her opponent 6-1, 6-2.
Heather Binion (Lebanon, Ind., Lebanon) lost at no. 5 singles by a score 6-1, 6-4. The no. 6 position for the Spartans won by default.
