CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) announced the results of the 2023-24 men's tennis preseason poll on Tuesday, August 22.

2023-24 HCAC Preseason Poll & Athletes to Watch List

In a tightly contested race, the Transylvania University Pioneers were selected as the favorites to win the league, earning 35 points and five first place votes in Tuesday's poll. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology snuck into the number two slot with 30 points and two first place votes, while Hanover College finished in a close third with 28 points. Franklin College rounded out the top-half of the poll with 21 points.

Manchester was selected to finish seventh in Tuesday's poll. Additionally, four Spartans were named "Athletes to Watch" this season, including sophomores Brennan Beachy (Goshen, Ind., Westview), Braydon Hoggatt (Union City, Ind., Union City), and Omar Lemus (Portage, Ind., Portage). The final Spartan tabbed as an "Athletes to Watch" was first-year Blake Schroeder.
