KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Manchester Spartans topped the host Kalamazoo Hornets in straight sets on Tuesday, September 12.

As a team, the Black and Gold hit .226. The Spartans were led by senior outside hitter Joy Maze (Greenwood, Ind., Greenwood Community) with 14 kills. Carley Camp (Logansport, Ind., Logansport) had a .444 hitting percentage with 11 kills and two solo blocks. Avery Ball (Decatur, Ind., Belmont) also added 11 kills, 11 digs, and two service aces for MU. 

Tiffany Watterson (Elkhart, Ind., Elkhart) also had 11 digs on Tuesday night. Emma Tone (Fort Wayne, Ind., Bishop Dwenger) and Mariah Forbes (Breman, Ind., Penn) each collected 11 assists.

Manchester (5-2) will travel to Wheaton, Ill. to compete in the Marilyn Scribner Invitational hosted by Wheaton College this weekend. The Spartans will first take on the Scarlet Hawks of Illinois Tech on Friday at 6:00 p.m. before facing Aurora and Concordia Chicago on Saturday.
