NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Spartans dominated the Crusaders of Great Lakes Christian College by a final score of 3-0 on Wednesday, September 20.
The Spartans took an early lead in the 13th minute as
Cory Mitchell (Maitland, Fla., Winter Park) found the back of the net off a pass from
Mlangalire Kamungo (Grand Rapids, Mich., East Kentwood).
Harley Kruschwitz (North Manchester, Ind., Manchester) would then double the lead in the 47th minute.
Jackson Fagan (Marion, Ind., Marion) assisted on the Spartan's second goal of the night.
The Black and Gold picked up their third goal of the night in the 70th minute following an own goal.
Manchester outshot Great Lakes Christian 21-6 during Wednesday night's contest.
Leading the Black and Gold was
Kruschwitz with five shots.
Julian Keough (Indianapolis, Ind., Pike) added four shots, two of which landed on goal.
Chris Gerken (Huntertown, Ind., Carroll) and
Chris Wilson (Crawfordsville, Ind., Bethesda Christian) had two shots a piece, respectively.
Aaron Ketchmark (Kouts, Ind., Kouts) collected his fifth clean sheet of the season with two saves for MU.
Manchester men's soccer returns to action on Wednesday, September 27 as they open conference play against Defiance College. The Spartans and Yellow Jackets will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. in Spartan Stadium.
