North Manchester, Ind. - The Manchester University Women's Volleyball team hosted Earlham College on a Friday night HCAC match up.
Manchester would go on to the defeat the Quakers in a five-set thriller.

Although the Quakers came out hot, Manchester found a way to bounce back after dropping the first set to come back and take the next two and ultimately finish the match 3-2 in a thrilling fifth set winner. Senior
Jessica Tarr (Fort Wayne, Ind., Snider) was a big part in this match where she recorded 16 kills with a .394 attack percentage including five kills in the fifth set to help rally the Spartans to a victory.
Avery Ball (Decatur, Ind., Belmont) achieved a career high 25 digs as an Outside Hitter in the five sets while also racking up 16 kills. Defensively the Spartans were not afraid to contest as the team combined 16 blocks on the Quakers.
The Spartans look to keep their HCAC momentum going as they travel to Berea College on October 19.
