North Manchester, Ind. - The Manchester University Volleyball team hosted Hanover College in their first HCAC match up of the season.

Manchester's Joy Maze (Greenwood, Ind., Greenwood Community) recorded her 1000th career kill as the Spartans routed the Panthers 3-1.

After a slow start and losing the first set, Manchester did not look back and went on a run winning three sets in a row. Joy Maze finished her milestone day with 15 kills on a .242 attack percentage and recorded two service aces. Emma Tone (Fort Wayne, Ind., Bishop Dwenger) and Mariah Forbes (Breman, Ind., Penn) helped out with combined 50 set assists, and defensively Tiffany Watterson (Elkhart, Ind., Elkhart) was yet again everywhere for the Spartans as the Libero recorded 16 digs on the night. 

The Spartans look to keep this momentum going as they host Earlham College on October 11 in Stauffer-Wolfe Arena for their next match up.
