North Manchester, Ind. - The Manchester University Women's Basketball team hosted Adrian College on Saturday for their 2024-25 home opener.

The Bulldogs got the best of the Spartans, winning 68-59.

The Adrian Bulldogs got out to a fast lead and never gave it up. A strong second quarter surge brought the Spartans within three going into halftime but it was not enough as the Bulldogs would seal the deal and win the game. The Spartans had four different players in double figures as Kinsey Atkins (Warsaw, Ind., Triton) led the way with 16. Atkins also added one block and two steals to her stat sheet while Kayla Gibbs (Fort Wayne, Ind,, Carroll) finished with 11 points, one block, and five steals on the day.

The Spartans look to bounce back as they host Elmhurst College on November 30 in Stauffer-Wolfe Arena.
