North Manchester, Ind. - The Manchester University Women's Basketball team hosted Elmhurst University in an afternoon Saturday match up.

The Spartans battled hard until the end but would fall to the unbeaten Blue Jays in a two point loss.

Manchester 67, Elmhurst 69

In a back and forth battle the Spartans started off strong as they finished the first half leading by four. A big 3rd quarter from the Blue Jays led them to take the lead and would not give it up as the Blue Jays held strong and would win 69-67. Four Spartans were in double figures for scoring including Abigail Rosenkrans (Pendleton, Ind., Pendleton Heights) who finished with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Kayla Gibbs (Fort Wayne, Ind,, Carroll) had a strong day for the Black & Gold where she had 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals.

The Spartans (1-3) will open up HCAC play on the road on December 4 at Rose Hulman at 7 PM.
