Terre Haute, Ind. - The Manchester University Women's Basketball team traveled down to Terre Haute, Ind, to take on the Fightin' Engineers of Rose-Hulman in game one of HCAC play.
Rose would take the lead early on and would hold onto it, beating the Spartans 62-55.

Rose went into halftime leading by 14, a strong second half from the Manchester would bring the Spartans within reach but ti was not enough as the Engineers would win by seven.
Kayla Gibbs (Fort Wayne, Ind,, Carroll) led the way for the Spartans, notching her first career double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Along with her was
Hailee Kline (Huntington, Ind., Blackhawk Christian) who finished with 15 points and shooting 3/6 from beyond the arc as well as perfect from the line.
Abigail Rosenkrans (Pendleton, Ind., Pendleton Heights) played a defensive effort tonight coming away with 12 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.
The Spartans will host Earlham College on December 7 in Stauffer-Wolfe Arena for their next HCAC match up.
