Berea, OH - The Manchester Men's Wrestling team traveled to Berea, OH to compete at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational this past weekend.

The Spartans finished the event with a 2nd place team finish only behind Baldwin Wallace who is ranked #9 Nationally. 

Manchester came away with 11 place winners, including, five 3rd place winners, four 5th place winners, and two 7th place winners. 

Taking home 3rd place on Saturday was Mason Jones (Dyer, Ind., Lake Central) (125), Oshea Phillips (Richmond, Ind., Centerville) (149), Mitchell Betz (Russiaville, Ind., Western) (157), David Cox (Tippecanoe, Ind., Triton) (174), and Robert Garrett (Gary, Ind., Calumet New Tech) (285).

Taking home 5th place honors on Saturday were, Nasir Christion (Merrillville, Ind., Merrillville) (125), Brady Schiffli (LaGrange, Ind., Lakeland) (149), James Bettcher (Lakeville, Ind., LaVille) (165), and Cameron Crisp (Merrillville, Ind,, Merrillville) (197).

Rounding out the place winners, taking home 7th place was Justin Boone (Yorktown, Ind., Yorktown) (149) and Garrett VonGunten (Goshen, Ind., Northridge) (165).

The Spartans next showing will be December 7th as they travel down to Indianapolis to compete in Indiana Little State hosted by UIndy
