HANOVER, Ind. - The Manchester women's basketball team fell on the road against Hanover College on Saturday, February 3 The Panthers won Saturday's contest by a final score of 71-44.
Hanover managed to pull ahead 6-2 after the opening minutes of Saturday's contest. Manchester's defense stopped the Panthers while strong shooting underneath gave the Black and Gold a 9-6 lead with 4:23 on the clock. Hanover answered to take a 16-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Panthers would go on to outscore Manchester 15-5 for a 31-14 lead at halftime.

Hanover's strong offensive attack continued into the second half as the Panthers maintained a double-digit lead through the remainder of Saturday's game en route to the 71-44 victory. With the win, Hanover improved to 14-7 overall and 12-2 in conference play. Manchester fell to 6-15,3-11 HCAC.

Abigail Rosenkrans (Pendleton, Ind., Pendleton Heights) finished the afternoon with seven points, five rebounds, and a block.

Madysen Rees (Middletown, Ind., Liberty Christian) each had two of Manchester's eight steals.Â
The Spartans will travel to Franklin College on Wednesday, February 7. Manchester will tip-off against Franklin at 7:30 p.m. in Franklin, Ind.
