Alma Scots Outlast Spartans in Road Opener

Alma, MI - The Manchester Men's Soccer team traveled to Alma, Michigan to take on the Alma Scots in the first road matchup of the season.

The Spartans fell short to Alma, losing 0-1 in a tight match up.

Out of the gate, Alma came out looking for a goal having two shots and a corner kick in the first five minutes. However the next ten minutes things switched up with the Black & Gold attempting three shots of their own. In the 23rd minute, Goalkeeper Aaron made his first of his 5 saves on the day. After two yellow cards and 10 shots, the first half came to and end.

Alma got on the board in the 51st minute to take the lead 1-0, the Scots would hold onto this lead and come out on top.

The Spartans look to battle back against Wittenberg University on Sep. 4.
